After Joey Ryan suggested to XPW officials that he "bring sleazy back to XPW" in the form of a Miss Xtreme contest at Cold Day In Hell, the new owners had a lot to contemplate.

One of the charms of XPW was the unbelievably hot women who found their way into roles as managers, valets, and general eye candy for fans. However, due to the former ownership, it also contributed to XPW's reputation as "the porn wrestling company."

The very first XPW show in July of 1999 featured the original Miss Xtreme contest which saw Kristi Myst win and become a regular valet, first for Big Dick Dudely and later for Supreme. Now, the new XPW owners, Big Vision Entertainment and Xtreme Entertainment Group, are taking Joey Ryan's suggestion and adding their own twist to it.

"We always liked that fans knew that XPW shows would feature the hottest women in pro wrestling," said XEG CEO Rick Mahr. "With Cold Day In Hell set to feature all of the best that was XPW, it only made sense to keep that tradition alive."

"But, this time, the Miss Xtreme contest will go beyond that," Big Vision Founder/CEO Houston Curtis added. "We're opening up the contest to ANY female who thinks she has what it takes to be named Miss Xtreme. Whatever it is that makes them fit the name, come on out and show the XPW fans."

XPW officials have now officially named Joey Ryan host of the contest.

Females wanting to apply to be in the Miss Xtreme contest can send a photo and letter explaining why they should be one of the 10 participants to missxtreme@thexpw.com. The finalists will be posted on TheXPW.com and MySpace.com/XPW on May 9th.

The Miss Xtreme contest will be held at 7:30 PM between the XPW Fan Fest (5:30-7:30 PM) and the Cold Day In Hell supershow.
